The Clockwork Ouroboros was the analytical engine built by Charles Babbage and the name given to the disastrous failed attack using it by the Star Chamber against the Eleven-Day Empire.
When the Star Chamber learned of Babbage's research, they realised they could use it to run the Musical Offering and gain access to the Empire. After completion and testing, the machine was moved beneath the Houses of Parliament on 1 October. It was activated and the Chamber prepared to invade.
Records after this point were sketchy. All that was known was that the attack failed, the engine was destroyed, and a fire started which destroyed the original Houses of Parliament. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
