Philip Kindred Dick was one of the most influential and respected writers of science fiction in the 20th century. He was born in Chicago in 1928. (PROSE: Of the City of the Saved...) Philip had a sister, Jane, who died at the age of six weeks. (PROSE: About a Girl)

He continued writing after he was resurrected in the City of the Saved. Some of those books included Same Old Heaven But a New Earth, The Parasite Angels, How to Create Universes in Your Spare Time for Fun and Profit and The Insidious Apotheosis of Bernhardt Fleck, which was made into the movie Grasshopper Sky.
